First Post — Who I Am and What This Site Is
Published:
I built this site to keep track of what I’m working on, thinking through, and learning, mostly around data science, programming, and projects I care about. Some of it will be technical, some of it won’t. Depends what I’m doing that week.
I’m currently a Master’s student in Data Science at the University of San Francisco. My background’s in applied math from UCLA, and I’ve worked on projects ranging from building dashboards and scrapers, to doing statistical analysis and NLP on real-world government data. I’ve also worked with the Air National Guard, which shaped a lot of how I think about systems, discipline, and work that matters.
Most of the code and ideas here are either things I want to remember, polish later, or explain in a way that clicks for myself and for anyone else trying to learn. If I can help someone avoid the hours I’ve spent debugging or researching something, all the better.
This site is a work in progress. So is everything else.
Thanks for stopping by! Before you go, here’s a quick pic when a few MSDS classmates and I happened to bump into Sam Altman in San Francisco.
Which pic do you prefer?
